Double Chocolate Pretzel Brownies


Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 35 minutes | Total Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 2 large eggs

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

  • 2 oz mini pretzels

Instructions (yields 16 brownies):

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line an 8 x 8 pan with parchment paper and set aside.

  • In a bowl combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Whisk together until glossy. Stir in the cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

  • Whisk the eggs together in a small bowl, then stir them into the brownie batter.

  • Fold in the flour, until just combined.

  • Fold in the chocolate chips.

  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread into an even layer.

  • Top the brownie batter with pretzels, then place in the oven for 30-35 minutes. Once a toothpick comes out clean, remove the brownies from the oven and allow to cool.
